Fat Blaster from VitaTree

It’s almost summer time and both men and women are on the search for the best fat burner on the market. What most people don’t realize is that stored fat, especially stubborn fat that is hard to lose, no matter how much you exercise or diet, has more to do with stored toxins and metabolism problems than anything else. The Fat Blaster combination from VitaTree Nutritionals was formulated to address stubborn fat that is difficult to lose and especially belly fat. The Fat Blaster from VitaTree is a whole food formula that is completely natural and safe, and effective because it targets the 4 reasons why people may be fat and have not had success losing weight before.

1. Toxins- Toxins build up in the internal organs and fat cells. We are exposed to toxins on a daily basis, most of which we cannot see, taste, smell or feel. These hidden toxins are in our foods, water, air and homes. The stored toxins are held in FAT CELLS as a protective mechanism to keep them diluted and away from our internal organs where they do more damage. Therefore, eliminate the toxins and you eliminate the reason for excess body fat to be there in the first place! VitaDetox as part of our Fat Blaster combo helps eliminate the toxins from all the internal organs plus the fat cells in a gentle and effective way.

2. Hormones- Hormonal imbalance causes a cascade of events that can make the weight loss process very difficult. Female hormones, estrogen and progesterone need to be in perfect balance to ensure the metabolic processes of the body are running optimally. Testosterone, the male hormone, also found in women, is the natural fat burner and ramps up the metabolism. This is one of the reasons men tend to have a faster metabolism than women. The VitaTree Fat Burner has ingredients Maca and Ginseng that help balance the female and male hormones, and helps at this level to burn unwanted stubborn fat, especially belly fat.

3. Cortisol- Stress causes our cortisol levels to become out of balance. Cortisol, our stress hormone, works alongside insulin to regulate our fat storage. In times of stress, the body holds on to excess weight and fat as a survival mechanism. Unfortunately, most of us are under stress on a daily basis and our cortisol levels never really get a chance to rest. This stresses our pancreas and causes our insulin to be more sensitive, thus causing carbohydrate cravings and hunger in general. The more hungry we are, the more we eat, and this leads to weight gain. VitaTree Fat Burner includes Green Tea which helps balance insulin levels, plus Maca and Ginseng that both work as adaptogens that help the body regulate cortisol levels by reacting more effectively to stress.

4. Metabolism- Slowed metabolism can be due to hormonal concerns, lack of exercise and undereating!
VitaTree Fat Blasting Combo helps to speed up metabolism in two ways. 1) It helps speed up the metabolic rate with Green Tea in the Fat Burner, even without exercise! 2) It helps decrease the toxic burden on the internal organs with the VitaDetox, thus improving digestion and metabolism.

All in all, VitaTree Fat Blaster is considered the best fat burner because it is formulated to overcome the often overlooked causes of weight gain. VitaTree is a whole food vitamins company and nowhere else in the world will you find superior formulations, without added fillers or synthetic nutrients. Infertility Blog – Natural Solutions

Jun 8th, 2012 Posted in alternative medicine, Detoxification, Digestive blogs, Infertility, Nutrition, Uncategorized, vitamins, weight loss, Whole food vitamins, women's health | Comments Off on Infertility Blog – Natural Solutions

Both men and women who are having difficulties with infertility are looking for natural solutions. Naturopathic care and whole food supplements are a proven method to either work alone, or alongside conventional medical approaches to treating infertility. I’ve chosen to write this infertility blog to help educate couples about the efficacy of detoxifying the body preconception, and also giving the mom and dad the proper nutrients before conception to increase their chances of having a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Cleansing and detoxification are a must before conception to increase the chances of becoming pregnant, but more importantly, to increase the health of the coming baby. Toxins can be stored in both partners for years and have a negative effect on the health of the egg and sperm. DNA changes occur in the presence of toxins and need to be eliminated before conception. When the mom is pregnant, the baby acts as a sponge and takes all the toxins to be processed through its brand new liver, kidneys and digestive tract.

I usually encourage patients to detoxify for at least 3 months, both partners, prior to conception if possible. The product I use with great success is my own formulation, VitaDetox. The revolutionary product helps detoxify the liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, digestive tract, lymphatic system and blood. The dosage is 2 capsules, twice per day, on an empty stomach.

Acupuncture for fertility is very helpful at balancing the CHI, or energy in the body. It helps to allow for healthy conception and pregnancy and minimizes the chances of miscarriage. Acupuncture for the mom to be helps to balance the hormones and relaxes the nervous system.

Whole Food Vitamins
Vitamin and mineral status of parents to be is very important when trying to conceive. I have found nutritional deficiencies in a large number of patients who have difficulty with infertility. I always recommend whole food vitamins to correct the deficiency. Whole food vitamins like VitaFruits and VitaVeggies are made directly from nature’s best nutrients, without any synthetic vitamins or minerals as most other supplements on the market contain. Whole food vitamins are important for fertility to supply the anti-oxidants, phytonutrients and vitamins and minerals needed from a whole food source.

Natural Stress Relief

Jun 7th, 2012 Posted in alternative medicine, Detoxification, Digestive blogs, health, Nutrition, Uncategorized, vitamins, weight loss, Whole food vitamins, women's health | Comments Off on Natural Stress Relief

Stress affects our health in a number of ways and is probably a causative factor in most disease processes. Stress causes a rise in cortisol levels. This hormonal change in the body can alter the normal physiological function of most of our organs. Stress can also lead to thyroid issues causing sluggishness, feeling cold and weight gain. High cortisol levels can also directly influence our insulin levels and cause diabetes and high blood sugars. This can also directly cause weight gain and lack of energy and a craving for carbohydrates.

Natural stress relief methods are available to everyone. The first step is to first recognize stress in your life. You have to check in with yourself once in a while and ask yourself if you are stressed, about anything. Stress can be either positive or negative stress, unfortunately they both have the same physiological effects on the body. The next step is to actively do something to counteract the stress. Often a change in attitude is needed, especially by those who are stressed all the time. The truth is, most of us do not like change. As soon as there is a change in our life, we get stressed. Change means progress and should not be seen as a bad thing. Change often is a leap pad to move us further along on our journey and although it causes us stress, is something we should be grateful for.

There are a number of methods to help with natural stress relief. Deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga and walking can all be a part of our busy lives if we make time for them. It doesn’t take long to do any of these activities. Even just 10 minutes of deep breathing can have the equivalent relaxing effects on the nervous system as 3 to 4 hours of deep sleep.

There are also natural stress relief supplements that can be taken safely, without side effects. VitaTree Stress and Sleep Formula is an all-natural stress supplement that helps to relax the nervous system, without being sedating. This is a whole food vitamin formula that is non-addictive and can be used by children and adults for stress, anxiety and panic attacks. For more info visit www.vitatree.com.

Read Your Vitamin Labels Carefully

Avoid Fillers in Vitamins

Avoid Fillers in Vitamins

Did you know that your vitamins and supplements can contain up to 90% filler per capsule or tablet? Most vitamins on the market today contain fillers, flow agents and other ingredients to help them appear more than what they really are. I always encourage you to read your vitamin labels carefully and read the “Non-Medicinal Ingredients”. This will tell you the list of fillers and other excipients that you are swallowing everyday in your vitamins and supplements, that may have negative health consequences.

The following list of fillers may be in your vitamin and should be avoided:

Microcrystalline Cellulose

Flow agents: Magnesium Stearate

Anti-Caking agent: Titanium Dioxide

At VitaTree Nutritionals, we do not use fillers or flow agents in our products. We do not want to dilute the efficacy of our potent raw materials, nor do we wish to have our customers perceive that there is more than what they think they are getting. At VitaTree, what you see is what you get. Read our labels carefully and you will know that we use only nature’s best nutrients. You will also feel the difference when you take VitaTree supplements because your body recognizes and absorbs our nutrients to the fullest, giving you the strength, energy and vitality you deserve. Skin Tone Improved by Fruits and Vegetables

Mar 29th, 2012 Posted in alternative medicine, Detoxification, Digestive blogs, health, Nutrition, Uncategorized, vitamins, weight loss, Whole food vitamins, women's health | Comments Off on Skin Tone Improved by Fruits and Vegetables

External beauty has much to do with what you do on the inside. You are what you eat, and your skin tells a story about how much to take care of your diet and exercise, as well as your detoxification. Skin radiance, luminosity, tone, texture and hydration are directly linked to your dietary habits, sleep patterns and lifestyle.
A study done in Scotland at the University of St. Andrew’s tested subjects by feeding them 2 additional servings of fruits and vegetables per day, for six weeks. Their skin tone and coloration was measured before and after the six week time frame. Researchers found improved skin tone and coloration and concluded that including more fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet has a beneficial effect on skin tone and texture.

So imagine how your skin can change with the daily whole food multivitamin from VitaTree, VitaFruits and Vitaveggies. A daily dose of 2 VitaFruits and 2 VitaVeggies gives you the approximate equivalent of 7 servings of fruits and veggies! And it’s so easy, no washing, cutting or preparing fruits and vegetables. You get the benefits of the raw phytonutrients, enzymes and vitamins and minerals, all within your capsules of VitaFruits and VitaVeggies. To order and for more info visit www.tryvitatree.com.

DHA is Needed More Than EPA, WHY?

Mar 27th, 2012 Posted in alternative medicine, Detoxification, Digestive blogs, health, Nutrition, Uncategorized, vitamins, weight loss, Whole food vitamins, women's health | Comments Off on DHA is Needed More Than EPA, WHY?

Best Fish Oil Supplement High in DHA

Best Fish Oil Supplement High in DHA

Eicosopentanoic acid (EPA) and decosahexanoic acid (DHA) are omega 3 fats found in cold water fish such as salmon, trout, mackerel, sardines
Humans tend to be severely deficient in DHA, as compared to EPA. This is why I recommend supplementation with more DHA as opposed to EPA. The VitaFish Oil from VitaTree Nutritionals contains a 40:10 ratio of DHA to EPA, yielding 400 mg of DHA per day. This is the important brain omega 3 fat necessary for cognition and brain function. DHA also concentrates at the back of the eye in the retina and is responsible for proper vision. It is important that DHA is supplemented everyday, as our brain uses its stores daily.
DHA is a 22 carbon chain, with 6 double bonds, whereas EPA has 20 carbons and 5 double bonds. The body can easily convert DHA to EPA if required because it can easily lose 2 carbons to become EPA, however the EPA has difficulty converting to DHA by adding 2 carbons. This is why I think we all need to be supplementing with more DHA than EPA daily.
DHA is concentrated in fast twitch muscles, like the heart, eyes and fast twitch skeletal muscles. Athletes, like sprinters who use fast twitch muscles, need to replenish more DHA than a sedentary person. It is interesting to note that hummingbirds have a high amount of DHA in their wings, and rattlesnakes in their rattle, as composed to their bodies. DHA also has been proven to be higher in individuals with faster metabolisms, and is one of the reasons I recommend taking the VitaFish Oil about an hour before exercise, to improve metabolism and feed the muscles with the DHA they require.

VitaFish Oil can be taken in capsule form, 4 capsules a day, with food. VitaFish Oil is so fantastic because it tastes like candy, and doesn’t have any fishy taste or aftertaste. It is in small little orange softgels, that can be either swallowed or chewed. Kids love them and take them willingly because they taste so great!

Beauty Benefits of Vitamin D

Best Absorbed Vitamin D

Best Absorbed Vitamin D

Vitamin D3 is an essential nutrient that most people who live in temperate climates are deficient in due to the lack of sunshine and skin exposure to the sun’s rays. The sun’s UVB rays are responsible for creating vitamin D3 in our body, through the interaction with cholesterol. It is important to note that we require Vitamin D3 as a potent anti-oxidant and cancer preventative! Yes, that’s right, we need Vitamin D3 to prevent cancer, even though we’ve been taught through the media that the sun is harmful and causes skin cancer. I believe we should all get some healthy sun exposure, in the summer months to improve our Vitamin D levels. This means exposing our arms and legs to the sun, for at least 15 minutes, 4-6 days per week, between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. If you live closer to the equator, you naturally have more exposure to the sun than someone like me, who lives in Canada and has many cold winter months, without sunshine. If you are able to travel to a warmer climate in the winter months to get some natural sun exposure, this is fantastic.
The beauty benefits of Vitamin D3 are surprising. Vitamin D3 helps improve skin tone and texture, “Having sufficient vitamin D in the skin helps minimize acne, boost elasticity, stimulates collagen production, enhances radiance, and lessen lines and the appearance of dark spots, he says.” Dr. Dennis Gross, board certified NYC dermatologist.
Recent medical news has shown that Vitamin D3 is best produced and absorbed into the skin after 48 hours post sun exposure. It is recommended that once you have had your sunbathing session, you should avoid washing your skin with soap for the next 2 days as this will wash away much of the Vitamin D3 your body has produced in the sebum of your skin cells. I would suggest you not wash your arms and legs perhaps, but do wash your other parts with soap, to avoid body odor and bacterial multiplication.
For those people who simply cannot get enough sunshine, I recommend a Vitamin D3 supplement, like VitaTree Vitamin D3. This unique formulation of Vitamin D3 is made from lanolin, the oil secreted by sheep’s wool. This is the next best way to get your Vitamin D, and in the right form being D3, cholecalciferol. Vitamin D2, ergocalciferol, is the Vitamin D supplemented in most food sources and has very little absorption as compared to D3.

Do This to Burn Extra Calories in Less Time

Mar 23rd, 2012 Posted in alternative medicine, Detoxification, Digestive blogs, health, Nutrition, Uncategorized, vitamins, weight loss, Whole food vitamins, women's health | Comments Off on Do This to Burn Extra Calories in Less Time

HIT or High Intensity Training has been proven to have positive benefits on the body in terms of cardiovascular fitness and insulin regulation. HIT consists of exercising at full capacity, for short 1 minute intervals, followed by lighter exercise in between. For instance, cycling at full throttle for 1 minute, followed by a moderate pace for a couple of minutes in between, then followed by full out training again.

For people who have little time to exercise, now there is no excuse. I do recommend that you check with your doctor to ensure you are healthy enough to engage in HIT training. Short hard bursts of exercise can be taxing on the lungs and heart if your body is not in good shape, and you may have to ease into this form of training.

Pair this up with a whole food Fat Burner, like VitaTree Fat Burner, and you may be well on your way to not only a healthier lifestyle, but you will also enjoy the benefits of fat loss and cardiovascular health.

Aspirin to Prevent Cancer, Really???

Mar 22nd, 2012 Posted in alternative medicine, Detoxification, Digestive blogs, health, Nutrition, Uncategorized, vitamins, weight loss, Whole food vitamins, women's health | Comments Off on Aspirin to Prevent Cancer, Really???

Three new recent studies published in the journals The Lancet and The Lancet Oncology suggest that a daily dose of acetylsalicylic acid, or aspirin might be able to prevent cancer as well as stop it from spreading. The only problem is that the side effects of this drug include stomach and brain bleeding. So in other words, you may be able to prevent a slower death from cancer, with the trade off of a quick death from GI bleeding or stroke!

Cancer is a multifactorial disease and just as there are a number of ways someone develops cancer, there are a number of ways to treat and prevent it naturally. Good old fashioned whole food anti-oxidants from fruits and vegetables, exercise and stress reduction will go a lot further than popping a drug like aspirin everyday to supposedly prevent the disease.

Whole food vitamins are always the better choice for cancer prevention and treatment. See VitaFruits and VitaVeggies from VitaTree Nutritionals for more information on nature’s cancer preventatives, with no side effects.

Clear Your Toxic Emotions for Good Health

Mar 20th, 2012 Posted in alternative medicine, Detoxification, Digestive blogs, health, Nutrition, Uncategorized, vitamins, weight loss, Whole food vitamins, women's health | Comments Off on Clear Your Toxic Emotions for Good Health

Some emotions can be considered toxic, if they are repeatedly experienced. Emotions such as anger, resentment, jealousy, hatred, disappointment, fear and betrayal can all be harmful to your body, mind and spirit if they are felt for a period of time that lasts longer than what I call the “therapeutic emotional window.” It is healthy to feel anger if someone or an event has caused the anger. What is more important is letting the anger go as quickly as it came into your consciousness. This is the therapeutic emotional window of opportunity. To harbour the anger for longer than that is deleterious to your physical, emotional and spiritual health. These stored emotions are toxic. I cringe when patients tell me they have been angry with the same person for twenty years. I know that many of the physical complaints they experience are probably associated with the stored toxic emotions. Naturally, part of the detoxification process is to clear these toxic emotions.

To learn how to clear toxic emotions, read my book, The Healthy Millionaire, available at www.vitatree.ca, or on amazon.com.
